All the ways to get involved
We couldn’t do everything we do at the Boys & Girls Club of Winnemucca without our dedicated volunteers and generous donors. Getting involved with the Boys & Girls Club is one of the most rewarding things you can do. You can be assured that your time and money are going to help our community’s kids build better futures, but beyond that, getting involved can be a lot of fun, too. We have countless ways for just about anyone to get involved and lend a hand.
SPONSORSHIPS
Sponsorships are a fantastic way to give back and get a little something in return.
If you or your company would like to give back to the youth in our community, sponsorships of the Boys & Girls Club of Winnemucca are a great way to do it. You can make a massive difference in kids’ lives, all while getting your brand positive visibility and attention. From vehicles that drive around town to t-shirts & sweatshirts given to Club kids to scoreboards and signage at our events, the exposure your brand will receive is insurmountable. VOLUNTEER
The Boys & Girls Club of Winnemucca relies on volunteers for many positions in our Club. All volunteers are required to go through an application and screening process. There are many volunteer opportunities for motivated community members, high school community service requirements, college community service requirements and employer required volunteer hours. The Club is always looking for help with special events, Club fundraisers and coaches for youth basketball. Please call 775-623-7993 to discuss upcoming volunteer opportunities.
Holiday Help
Help bring holiday magic to our neediest Club families. Every child should be able to enjoy the magic of the holidays. That’s why the Boys & Girls Club of Winnemucca has Holiday Help. This program provides gifts and much-needed items during the holidays to local Club families in need. Each year we match families with generous adopters who provide toys, clothing, and household supplies. Most families that receive help through this program are Club families on a minimal income. The children range in age from 0-18. To know each family’s individual needs, they go through a pre-screening process before their application is approved for the Holiday Help program. This process helps the Boys & Girls Club of Winnemucca allocate resources accordingly and ensure these families get everything they need for the holidays. To adopt a family for the 2023 Holiday Help program please contact Stephanie Johnson at 775-623-7993 ext 107 or sjohnson@bgcwin.org.
